I spent a week this July on Little Traverse Bay in
Northern Michigan to relax by the water. Each day brought
something new. One night I ended up playing an unplanned
show to a crowd of about 100 people at the beach. The
last two days, I worked hard in the studio to produce
this short record.
I went to Michigan to let the music take shape. Two
years after Where I Belong and I'm finally releasing
some of the new music I've been writing and playing
live. Between Here and Home (release date: September
21st) is exactly what it sounds like--a collection of
songs written on the road. I take inspiration from all
of the new cities and towns and new people I meet along
the way.
These songs are recorded in a stripped down acoustic
style.
The disc only has four songs. But they are songs that
I think show a difference and a huge growth from Where
I Belong. They are: Manhattan Street, Empty Handed,
Halves, and a newly recorded version of Legend of Jack
Kerouac.
Hope you like 'em. See you on the road...
